The market of nutritional support products

Abstract

Background. To satisfy the individual needs of patients, there is a need for the consumption of nutritional support food. Products for nutritional support are developed and produced in many countries: USA, Belgium, Germany, Japan, Sweden, China, France, India and others. Actual is market research products and nutritional support in Ukraine.
Material and methods. Statistics and analytical methods were used to process information.
Results. The international market of nutritional support products develops intensively. In 2012 it was estimated at 27.2 billion US dollars. Over the next six years, it is projected to rise to 40.1 billion US dollars. The segment made up of parenteral nutrition products totaled $ 3.7 billion in 2010 and in 2015 should rise to nearly $ 4.6 billion after growing at 4.4 % a year.
Now the international market presents a variety of mixtures intended for enteral nutrition. Depending on the purpose they are divided into standard, element and half-elemental, modular, special mixture of immune modulating.
Conclusion. Product range of enteral nutrition products is increasing every year caused by the importance of their usage. In Ukraine there are foreign enteral nutritional products for different categories of patients and no domestic products. Therefore, the actual issues are the quality and assortment of domestic nutritional support products.
